Hi,
Here it is, for yesterday's main CVS, instead of pre7.
On my debian system, the mplayer only binary goes from 5.6 MB to 5.7 MB when
adding mencoder's code to it.
I agree, this patch makes a lot of changes on main Makefile but it seems easier now ;-)
Mencoder now only is a symlink to mplayer binary.
The remaining question would be the unknown behaviour on Win32 system's (i guess
they do not support symlinks, so, copy mplayer.exe to mencoder.exe ??).
Anyway, i have no way to test it, so if someone can try ...
Having both mplayer and mencoder in a single binary may (in monthes/years to come ;)
add the possibility to call encoding functions (yeah i agree, mencoder's code should
then be completely messed up) from streams currently played by MPlayer
(watch and record tv at the same time for example).
Anyhow, feedbacks welcomed ;-)
