What is the "standard procfs implementation"?  :) Btw, any files other than
pid subdirs are obsoleted (or it's said to be marked as obsoleted sometime
in the future) and in future /sys should be used instead (or not, but not
/proc). Or maybe you mean this policy as "standard procfs implemetnation"
... /proc in theory is created for showing information about PROCesses only,
as the name suggests. AFAIK. But it's a useless topic now, since the current
situation is different. Also the "standard procfs implmenetation" idea is
not help here because if Linux avoid using /proc to present information on
other things than processes, those information should be collected from somewhere
else which is not even similar on "UNIX" operating systems, so it would not be
any better (or worse) if Linux do this (or not, or what? I should go to the
bed)
