This doesn't include the runtime libstc++ library.

Thats a way off the 2.4MB which you are claiming.

Hmm, I can only see 2.2MB in my include directory, but thats not the point
here and you propably mean the tools to compile qt based programms too.

You have to use a very big library for qt programms.
Compiling takes also longer because it is c++.
