I've been testing with fbdev, jpeg, pnm, png, and tga, provoking various bugs
by using -vf format to force translations that would not normally be done,
and also resizing via -vf scale. After all my fixes the only one that still
has problems is tga - I suspect vo_tga is just big-endian-broken but I'll
have to read up on the targa format before I know for sure.

I do have some other things to report, that are not altivec-related, I'm
holding back for now because I don't want too many balls in the air.
