With gnome-mplayer I set the window size to 16x16 and then when mplayer
reports the new video size, I change the window to that size unless
there is no video and in that case I hide the window. I found that 16x16
was a small enough size and still be viable. I found that if I used
smaller that some vo's (I believe xv) would not initialize properly.
