I'm not hiding it.  I've attached the patch.

I just think with two different development threads going on in the same
file, someone needs to go first or you end up with a mess.

I was going to handle the merge myself because I wrote the code, I know
the reasoning behind every decision, but if someone else want to do it
then that's OK.
