Woops, I feel stupid for missing that.
One thing that I forgot to mention: currently, if MPlayer configure is
touched, you're strongly advised to re-run it. How will this change
with the new scheme, with one configure for MPlayer, one for FFmpeg?
Will you re-run FFmpeg's automatically in FFmpeg's subdir when it is
modified? That would mean that you'd hopefully decrease the time
required to recompile MPlayer in case only FFmpeg changes. That would
be neat!
