IMHO it uses a bit much indirection, the d_x and d_y variables only obfuscate things,
just use vo_dx and vo_screenheight - vo_dy directly.
However I think it would be good if this was tested thoroughly with multi-monitor setups
and varying -xineramascreen settings.
