Where is this feature in the code so I can have a look what you mean?

I don't really understand here. My patch does globally what -ss was
already doing when you were looping a media file for instance (but was
not doing when seeking manually, which my patch do the same way).
And as far as I can see, nothing is done "wrong". Though of course in
the absolute, I can do things wrong ;) but just point me out because
as I said, I didn't understand what you meant.
Thanks for the feedback anyway, I will wait for further explanations then.
