I don't consider readback support all that essential myself, so I didn't
mean to imply that you should implement it. AFAIK not many people miss
it with VDPAU (it's only really needed if you want to do some nontrivial
filtering on a minimal machine - on desktop class machines it's possible
to use software decoding if necessary).
