Upstream libass itself is now maintained in a separate repository, and
the libass interface in the MPlayer svn repository is no longer actively
maintained. If you see a libass-related problem try compiling an updated
MPlayer from git://repo.or.cz/mplayer-build.git and see if the problem
still exists there.

I think at least the current code cannot have such an "inverted aspect
ratio" problem, if there ever was one. If you think some behavior is
still wrong even after updating MPlayer then please provide more detail
about exactly what kind of problem you see and why you think inverting
an aspect ratio setting would be the correct fix.
