No, I haven't.

I think that this will be too much work without some type of
automation. I might setup such automation testing, but it will require
excessive amount of time with unclear result.

Although one year old MPlayer tree doesn't have this problem, it's
obvious that the problem is in the toolchain and not MPlayer itself.
