According to the other entries, you need to do something like:

The output is affected (\n basically).

This part doesn't apply well here, I guess because of a wrong encoding (I
get "??" instead of the special characters), but I may be the one in
cause.

I'm not an expert of the manpage markup, but the rest looks good.
