IMHO we can improve on that after this patch is committed.
This is an obvious thing that is missing in MPlayer for some
time now. So having this working will be an improvement for
many users.

Ditto for this one. I didn't really investigate. IIRC some
crypto protocols rtmpe or somesuch can be enabled if nettle
is available if I am not mistaken..
I committed the patch as I sent it.
Everyone, please complain here or in ticket #2183 if you
find any problems.
