I am not saying I'm against that, but I would rather argue
about it in another discussion as I mentioned in my original
mail:

This discussion was supposed to be about how to keep things with
internal FFmpeg as they are, but easing maintenance by implementing
configuration of FFmpeg in a less fragile fashion.
