[Mplayer-users] Mplayer seems to be a little slower

It seems that mplayer is now slower than version about 14 days old (I know, 
it is not very helpful...). When I play .avi on my Duron 600, TNT2 Vanta 
(nVidia drivers 0.9-769), kernel 2.2.16, -vo xv, ... the movie is slightly 
jerky, but CPU never hits 100%. It gets better when -nosound is used. I 
should probably write that I use ALSA drivers (becouse OSS is useless for on 
board sound VIA 82C686A).
And again: 14 days ago was everything O.K.
