Try sdl with dga out it's much faster (at least for me) then -vo dga, you can 
use it with -vo sdl -sdl dga.
By far fastest is xv or sdl with xv acceleration (there yhould be no speed 
difference, although SDL should be faster on multiprocessor systems.).
