yes. at least for me.
i've just installed gtk-perl and now it appears in Xtras or what's its name.
I also got pop-up window, can select things, but the process of 'rendering
fonts' aborts with this:

mplayer_subfont: gimp_file_save: procedural database execution failed at
/usr/local/lib/gimp/1.2/plug-ins/mplayer_subfont line 110 (ERROR)

it's line 112 for you, i've removed first 2 lines to avoid perl 5.6.x
dependency.
