Well, doesn't work here. I specify -fs -vm, and it doesn't work. I can
specify -fbmode, but I have to know which mode to use... :(((

Tough luck :(
Nevertheless, I recompiled with ffmpeg codec - and voilá! It works! x11
plays quite nice using this.

Same thing when I turn off double buffering.

.rm yes, but .vivo? I know, this format is all f*ked up :( has no index
frames, and such - but there is an .ocx that decodes it. Maybe you can
make it work like win32 codecs do?

Really? Well, I guess I mustn't tell my processor that he cannot play
it. It works fine right now :)

yup, mtrrs are all there, set them up loooong ago while fiddling with XF4.
