[Mplayer-users] FFmpeg / divx4 do not work

Hi people, I need some help.

Mplayer works fine with odivx with most divx movies I have.

When I use divx4, I get a bleck window.
When I use ffmpeg, I get some strange colour mix.

Very often, mplayer crashes X when I use Xv (even with SDL)
It simply does not work with DGA for me.

I'd really like to have ffmpeg work, because I have a small machine and
some improvement would be nice

I use Mplayer from CVS from Aug 18.
XFree 4.1.0
SDL 1.2.2
Linux 2.4.4
Glibc 2.2.2
What else?
Hardware: K6-2 300, Voodoo 3.
