divx4linux from 20010811 has some bugs removed (e.g. for framesizes not a 
multiple of 16) and should be almost as fast as 20010718 (which had a speedup 
due to some "fishy" iDCT incompatibility). At least Sparky claims so...

Only 0803 and 0807 were really slow for DivX3.11.

But I guess, Leandro accidentially used OpenDivX. A 

  ldd ./mplayer

should clear this up.
