[MPlayer-users] tried to run mplayer in another display... but doesn't work...

i tried to run mplayer in another xserver(for performance...) but it doesn't 
work...

i used the command:

xinit mplayer -display :1 -fs movie.avi -- :1 -xf86config <config file>
(i ran this command in xterm which is running on :0 and :0 is running 
gnome...)

and mplayer only prints out "bluh,bluh,... start playing..."

and doesn't do anything...

somebody knows what's wrong?
