Hi,
First, sorry for my poor english :-)
I would like to have your opinion about my problem.
I compiled and installed the latest CVS (12-10-2001) version of mplayer.

Everything works fine (with gcc-3.0.2, under mdk8.1). I get the video and
sound (oss/pro with multiple output on my Terratec EWS88MT, with the envy24
chip, I say that for your doc about sound compatibility :-) ).
I also have a G200 MMS graphic card (can manages up to 4 different monitors).

So now, the problem : I want to play several divx files in the same time, on
several screens. The problem is that I cannot use (or I don't know how) the
provided mga_vid driver because it use only one of my four graphic chip (it
works on the firts screen only, if I move the window on another screen the
video output will be pink), so I have to use a video driver which supports
xinerama, I know that x11 supports it but it is very slow (and it uses a lots
of cpu ressources), for sdl, the quality of the video output is quite bad; I
think that dga does not support xinerama (or I don't know how to use it),
same problem for svgalib.

For the divx, I use a resolution of about 496x376 or less. For me, it is
enough. But if I start four instances of my movie, it is a bit slowly
(whereas it works fine on windoze) on my pentium 4.

So I would like to have your opinion of the best video driver which can
combine multiple screen and low CPU ressources, I have to make a good
compromise between these parameters, because I don't want to use windoze.
Thanks a lot,
Nicolas
