[MPlayer-users] seeking to the end of a video

I am wondering if there is a switch for Mplayer that tells it not to
exit if you try to seek (using the arrow/pg keys) beyond the end of
the video but instead just to play the last currently available
frames.  This would be handy for playing a file while it is being
recorded.
