Well, I really tried to be helpful and really tried to give a
constructive answer to his problem. I apologize if you don't think my
answer was courteous enough. I thought I was courteous.
But at the same time I tried to make _a_little_ fun of his question in
a subtle way.
I strongly believe it is possible to give both good and constructive
answers to obvious or poorly stated questions at the same time as
using ironic/sarcastic humor as a corrective measure without being
blatantly rude or offensive to the poor user.

I'm really curious to learn which part of my answer offended you.

| HUH? His formula, which could be taken as mildy ironic humour (and may
| have been intended that way)
_exactly_ what I intended.

_exactly_ the point I was trying to make.
