Hi Arpi!! such a long time!! :)

You don't remember me, but I was (am) one of those very early mplayer
users ^_^

Yes, it is true it's been a while since I read docs about mga_vid,
just yesterday I installed support for DVD in mplayer (thanks)

Anyway, I have yesterday's CVS version and I read section 2.3.1.7.
Matrox framebuffer (mga_vid), and there isn't really anything new
about it ... if mga_vid is unloaded when idle (rmmod in cron) and then
I tried to use mplayer I get: FATAL: Cannot initialize video driver!
and the famous modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-178

This is why I have to copy mga_vid.o under the current kernel modules
directory in /lib/modules/uname -r/

I just said that "it would be nice" if "make install" in main/drivers could
do that. Other than that, I copy it manually, as I always do.

If by your answer you meant to send a patch, then I promise I will do
it if it's not that difficult.
