[Mplayer-users] OpenGL

Ehlo,
 I have just installed X with OpenGL acceleration and tried to run mplayer
with -vo gl, and it started playing, only problem is that it displays
white screen and nothing else.
 the only issue I can think of is that mplayer was compiled against
utah-glx and since my utah-glx had no hardware accel I installed x4.1.0
with xlibmesa.
is this known issue or should I issue a fully blown bugreport?
