Hi,

> VIDEO: [DIV3] 640x480 24bpp 25.00 fps 1582.9 kbps (193.2 kbyte/s)
hmm. nice bitrate :)
i need this file for testing...
the biggest bitrate file i've found was only 133k/s :(

now my results:

System:
Abit BE6-2
Celeron2-600 @ 900MHz (100MHz FSB)
256MB PC133 SDRAM @ 2/2/2
Matrox G400MAX (doesn't matter, I've used -vo null)

Result:
For low (<80) bitrates, ffdivx wins, and VfW is extremly slow.
For highbitrates (>80) the order is reverse, vfw wins, and ffmpeg
is the slowest (but not more than 10% slower than vfw).

I think that memory speed / cache size is the bottleneck here.
I have about 130MB/s ram, and 1500MB/s L2 cache speed on this
system (printed by memtest86 v2.5). As celeron2 has only 128kb
L2 cache, it may not enough :(

I'll test it on a celeron2-800 @ 1066 / 133 FSB, 165MB/s ram system soon :)

I'm interested in results made on slow cpu (p200mmx/k6/k6-2/celeron1) with
fast memory.
