Your logic is seriously flawed in that you are fighting a straw man. I
never said I preferred to have NO ability to play these formats under
Linux. I said I'd prefer NATIVE support. You are mis-representing my
position. I don't see the name Richard M. Stallman in my email header.

I support REPLACING Windows codecs with Linux-native code. Having the
ability to load a Windows DLL is important for a new codec that comes
out before native support is developed. 

Developing native support is still important though.
