we moved away from SF some months ago.

where is it coming from? it wasn't in the message printed by SF configure!
it says:

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous at cvs.mplayer.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/mplayer co main

please, don't be lamer...

-d specifies path _ON_THE_SERVER_ !
on the server, isn't /home/ich/
