[Mplayer-users] Option for not playing

Hi!

I really like mplayer for all the data it prints on startup. With a proper 
"grep" get all you need for archiving videos. Could you add a switch that 
makes mplayer _not_ play the video, just print all the data and exit? 

Or perhaps something like a "maximum number of frames/time to display", so 
you can make some kind of slideshow (play only first 10 seconds), or just set 
to zero for not playing at all?
