I know that Arpi already wrote some answer, but at least the first part I
don't find much helpful.

What version of NVIDIA drivers do you use? I had similar problem with some
old version and with new one it disappeared. The screen was too black when
I tested my 3D acceleration with Quake demo. So my advice is: try to upgrade
to latest driver release (if you already didn't).
