Hmm I think it's problem of svage driver, I get green screen often too on my 
savage mx with savage_drv.o 1.1.15 and XFree 4.0.3 but it doesn't depend on 
-vo xv or -vo sdl, it's some sporadic problem in savage driver. I wrote Tim 
Roberts about it b ut no answer yet.
