I am able to compile them with 2.96-81 without any errors at all.
Though there are some warnings:

mmx/srfft_3dnow.c:481:3: warning: pasting "","" and ""%%mm3"" does not
give a valid preprocessing token

I have uploaded two binaries compiled with 2.96-81 to
ftp://thot.banki.hu/MPlayer/incoming/ak/. The first one is with mmx
optimization only. The bug with black window in 16 bpp is fixed. The
second one also has 3dnow optimization turned on explicitly in ./configure
(because I'm having a Celeron). Please test them and tell if anything is
wrong.
