Yep. It seems, gcc is not able to distinguish i386-style assembler
comments from assembler code (maybe because in some other assemblers # is
not a comment sign). I'm not sure what is pipe used for in inline
assembler, though...

Anyway I don't quite understand why these assembler comments are used
at all, instead of plain C comments...
