that is fixed in latest CVS
it should be : 
install -D -m 644 DOCS/mplayer.1

> install: kan gewoon bestand 
> `/usr/local/Mplayer-0.11pre24/man/man1/mplayer.1' niet aanmaken: Onbekend 
> bestand of map
ehm, btw, non-Belgian error communicates would be so helpfull ;)
