I would really like this too.  Also a key to switch to
1x size, 2x size and 3x size would be nice.

Could the old behavior also be kept?  I like full 
screening a video and still being able to see my 
dockapps :)
 
Or alternatively a Lock Aspect option that would
resize 
the x window to keep the aspect ratio when the user 
resizes the window.  That way I could just maximize it

and it would still keep the correct aspect.  Come to 
think of I would rather have that :)

Speaking of aspect, what is it with these 480x480 
SVCDs?  When viewing at that aspect it seems all 
wrong..  I'm having to just resize these myself.
