Support for this "cross-compiling" should be added to configure. Put together
once, what's the needed options for --use-celeron, --use-p3 , --use-p4, 
--use-athlon4 which overwrite the autodetect when set. Shouldn't be too much 
work and could indeed be nice, also for distribution later. 
Not everybody knows if celeron means --enable-sse or --disable-sse etc.
