[Mplayer-users] Sound problems

Hi everybody,
I'm new to MPlayer, so maybe I'm going to
do an stupid question.
When I play a file (I tried both, an AVI
file and a MPEG file) it looks
ok, but it sounds terribly bad. I listen
only noise. 
I'm using esddsp to play files, and it
works ok with other programs (as
mpg123), so I don't know what happens...

Could anybody help me, please?
