[MPlayer-users] DVD player slow performance

When I playback a DVD the image has a slow performance while playback of DivX 
videos is fine. I can playback DVD's in windows without problems.

My computer is an AMD Athlon 1,2Ghz with 256MB 266 Mhz Memory and a Geforce 2 
graphic card. I use the acellerated nvidia driver.

Is there anybody who can help me with this problem?

And there is another problem. I tried to playback the DVD "Contact" with this 
command:

mplayer -ni -vo sdl -fs -dvd 5 /dev/scd1

But I cannot hear any audio. I tried the option -aid N where N was 0 to 5 
without success. Any ideas?
