[MPlayer-users] how to set the subtitle position?

Hi,

is there any option in mplayer to chage the vertical
position of the subtitles?

I find it annoying, that on full screen playing, the
movie occupy a narrow band in the middle of the screen,
and the subtitles are written onto the film, however
there are two big black not utilized area. Can I put
the subtitles unter or over the movie?
