[MPlayer-users] Upgrade GCC: problems !

Hi,

I downloaded the following rpms of gcc:

gcc-obj-3.0.1
gcc-c++-3.0.1
gcc-3.0.1

When I try to compile, any ./configure script
tells me:

your compiler doesn't produce executables

What is the matter ? The strange is that when from any KDE
application I click on "report a bug" the window who appears
reports as the gcc version the 2.96.

Please help, I want to use MPlayer !!
