[MPlayer-users] mga_vid errors and gcc errors

when i ./configure, i keep getting warnings about having gcc 2.96
this is really weird... ihad compiled mplayer earlier that day and it worked 
fine, i got slack 8 and its gcc 2.59.3, and in i810 chipset

but i got hung up with an error about mga_vid and so i tried to compile that 
and it wouldnt let me insmod, saying it was busy or wrong irq

and then, when i tried to start up mplayer, it said it errors loading, etc, c 
and it had loaded up fine an hour ago, and this is after rebooting

i dont know what im doing, so i may have typed something somewhere to mess it 
up, any suggestions
