Works fine for me! The configure.log is a huge help, BTW. Correctly
autodetected:
syncfb
SVGALib
ffmpeg libavcodec directory copied as "Result is: static libavcodec"
libdvdread
Win32 DLLs
DirectShow
Divx4Linux
One comment: the only thing it looks for to see if MGA_VID support should be
included is /dev/mga_vid's existence. On Slackware 8.x that is now created
by default, which means this support will always (needlessly) be compiled
in. It may be harder to do some other check than it's worth, but FYI. I can
always use a configure switch to keep it out if I care.
Also, my log file stopped at ============ Checking for GUI ============.
There are no lines below it saying "no". Again, FYI.
Looks good to me!

Subject: [MPlayer-users] ANNOUNCE: new ./configure script
[Automatic answer: RTFM (read DOCS, FAQ), also read DOCS/bugreports.html &
http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-2.96.html if you still have questions or problems]
Hi,
pl rewrote the ./configure script this week, and finally, after some
successfull testing we've decided to set it as default.
(no, no autoconf and we finally decided that we don't want auto* sh*t here)
so, old script is now called configure.old, new the one is ./configure
please use and test the new one, it should be much better than old one!
it also creates configure.log, so you can check why a given test failed.
some tests has been improved but it is possible that some test is broken
now. REPORT BUGS, misdetection (include configure.log) we'll fix them ASAP.
the old script will be removed soon, as soon as we see the new one is
bugfree.
if you have problems with cvs update, then delete config* and do cvs update
again. it shouldn't happen but it's possible to cvs clients will be confused
again from cvs backup/renaming actions.
