Standard Polish code page is generally ISO8859-2.
But - M$ Windows uses different encoding - WINDOWS-1250.
Most of UNIX systems works on ISO8859-2 codepage, most of text files is
WINDOWS-1250 encoded unfortunattely.
So, you have to install two sets of fonts, or convert files using "iconv" e.g.
I made a simple trick with ISO-8859-2 fontset to handle properly BOTH
standards. So, you don't even need to know how your text files are encoded -
they will be displayed good.

Modified font-set is copied to
ftp://mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/incoming/windows-1250/PL_fonts-ISO8859-2_and_WINDOWS-1250.tgz

There is also a simple script to modify already installed font set:
ftp://mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/incoming/windows-1250/mplayer-win1250-trick

Files are also available at
