[MPlayer-users] Problem compiling Mplayer - any version (0.5+)

Hi,

After compiling mplay I get these: 
...
/usr/include/wchar.h: In function Long long int wcstoq(const wchar_t*,

`const
...

YES, I know this it pointed out in the FAQ section!!!!
But I HAVE glibc 2.2.4-40 installed (Suse 7.3 ftp version, nov 15.).
I also use gcc 3.0.2.
Any chance to compile mplayer w/o downgrading compiler or distribution?
