[MPlayer-users] debian mplayer-src package

Hello,

I have read that producing and distributing mplayer binary package is forbidden by law and I understand this.

But is it possible to produce an mplayer-src package (debian), which has an
intelligent post-install script, which builds the package at
install-time if the user want it? I think this could be the best way to
get mplayer into debian.

Does anyone working on it? Any ideas? I am not on the list, so please Cc: 
the answer to me.
