[Mplayer-users] skin configfile?

Ok. I did the compile with --enable-gui. I've got the
default skin in the right directory with the right
permissions but I still get:

font: can't open file: /$HOME/.mplayer/font/font.desc
font: can't open file:
/usr/local/share/.mplayer/font/font.desc
SKIN dir 1: '$HOME/.mplayer/Skin'
SKIN dir 2: '/usr/local/share/mplayer/Skin'
[app] skin configfile not found.

Any help would be much appreciated.
