yes, it is documented. not in that words you said (and expect), but if you
readed it, then you know that it doesn't uses plugins and cpu is configured
at compile time (see faq)

btw, it was also explained 100+ times on the mailing lists, just use the
archive (sf search doesn't work but you still can read all that mails :))
