of course...
m$ didn't released divx (ms-mpeg4v3) specs, but it had been reverse
engineered by 2 independent group (projectmayo and ffmpeg).
i expect the same for sorenson and other closed codecs.
afaik sorenson is another h263 variant, just like divx. so it should be
possible to reverse engineer and modify an h263 decoder to handle it.

another alternative is if apple releases sorenson codec for the new
openquicktime project as binary plugin. but i don't think they ever do that.
